Job Description
As a Geospatial Data Scientist , you will help us design, build, and deliver a compelling spatial data science platform and develop industry leading AI models for satellite imagery. You will develop deep learning models using libraries such as PyTorch or Tensorflow and create APIs and tools for training and deploying.
Responsibilities
- Develop ready-to-use production grade geospatial AI models, tools, and solutions
- Integrate ArcGIS with popular deep learning libraries such as PyTorch/Fast.ai or TensorFlow/Keras
- Develop APIs and model architectures for deep learning applied to geospatial datasets.
- Python and Sql skills are highly desirable.
- Holistic owner of geospatial AI capabilities of the platform
- Collaborate with data scientists and software developers to create sample Python notebooks, train AI models, develop geoAI-enabled solutions, write documentation, and perform QA tasks
- Develop and implement test plans and test cases, write test code, and verify code changes and bug fixes
- Review and analyse automated test results, report status on software quality and stability, and certify software quality.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Expert understanding of Satellite imagery, ML models.
- AWS or Google earth engine knowledge is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proven ability to build and deliver quality software in a team environment
- Effective project management, time management, and organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven data science and AI skills with Python and Jupyter Notebook
- Master's or PhD in GIS, geography, engineering, computer science, maths, or related fields
